I. Purpose: To promote innovative teaching by faculty, enhance student learning support, cultivate AI literacy in both faculty and students, encourage faculty to integrate generative AI tools into their courses, innovate teaching design, methods, and materials, and encourage students to apply generative AI tools for autonomous learning and improved learning efficiency.

II. Eligibility:

  • Teachers: Full-time and part-time teachers who incorporate generative AI tools into their courses for the 2025 Fall semester.
  • Students (currently enrolled with student status only):
    1. Graduate students who apply generative AI tools in their research topics.
    2. Self learning programs (with a specified G-AI application plan in the learning proposal).
    3. Participation in on-campus or off-campus competitions (limited to one account per team).
    4. AI-related student clubs (limited to one account per club).
    5. Undergraduate students enrolled in capstone research courses who apply generative AI tools in their studies.

III. Subsidy Content: whatever type of generative AI, the subsidy amount is limited to USD$20/month/account. The subsidy does not include international transaction fees or VAT.

IV. Subsidy Period: The subsidy period is from the approval date until November 30, 2025 (Sunday). Reimbursement receipts must be submitted to the Teaching Resources Center of the Academic Affairs Office by November 20, 2025 (Thursday). Each period must be submitted to the Teaching Resources Center within one month.

V. Number of Subsidies: Limited to 50 people/month in principle.

VI. Application Process:

  • Application Period: From the date of this announcement until July 24, 2025 (Thursday) at 5:00 PM.
  • Application Method:
    1. Teachers: Applicants are required to fill out the Google form within the announcement period.
    2. Students: Applicants should fill out and sign the application form, then scan and email to the Teaching Resources Center of the Academic Affairs Office:

      • Subject: "2025 Fall Semester Generative AI Tool Account Subsidy Application_Applicant Name"
  1. For a second application, kindly provide a concise summary of your prior application's content and achieved results.

VII. Review Process and Key Points:

A. The Dean of Academic Affairs will serve as the convener, appointing on-campus G-AI experts and scholars to form a G-AI project team to review and approve subsidies and related matters.

B. Key Assessment Items:

    1. Teachers: Confirm teaching and learning objectives, specify the chosen generative AI tool, detail the teaching application plan for the generative AI tool, and outline the expected teaching outcomes.
    2. Students: Explain the chosen generative AI tool.
      • Graduate Students: Explain the research motivation, purpose, research topic, research design, and expected outcomes.
      • Students with Self-Directed Learning Plans: Attach the self-directed learning plan application form and ensure the plan passes review after the semester begins.
      • Competition Teams: Attach the competition official document or event promotional poster content.
      • AI-related Student Clubs: Describe the generative AI learning activity plan.
      • Students Participating in Capstone Research Courses: Explain how generative AI will be applied in the research.

C. Review Schedule: July 28, 2025 (Monday) to August 15, 2025 (Friday).

D. Notification of Review Results: August 21, 2025 (Thursday).

VIII. Assessment: At the end of the semester, participants must attend the teaching effectiveness sharing event organized by the Teaching Resources Center of the Academic Affairs Office.

  • Teachers: Please share which courses were integrated, how they were applied in the courses, the effectiveness after application (from the faculty and student perspectives), solutions to teaching problems, and other feedback.
  • Students: Please share how you used G-AI tools, personal practical results, the specific impact of G-AI tools on your results, or experiences gained from using G-AI tools, and share pros and cons.

Generative AI Tools Account Subsidy Process:

  1. Teachers: Submit Google form.

Students: Submit the application form.

  1. Reviewed by the G-AI project team.
  2. Upon approval, teachers/students apply for an account on the official generative AI website.
  3. Within one month, prepare the account order receipt (Invoice or Receipt), NTD credit card statement, and finance department expense reimbursement form (must be personally signed by the handler) and submit them to the Teaching Resources Center for reimbursement.
  4. After using the account, participate in the teaching effectiveness sharing event organized by the Teaching Resources Center at the end of the semester.
  5. Case closed.
