Q1:When is the period of the credit transfer/waiver application in the semester?
A1:Admitted students should finish the application on the admission academic year. A late application is not accepted. For details and dates please refer to the Admitted students' “Pre-arrival guide for Registration procedure” chapter III Course Credit Transfer and Waiver; or latest news of the Registration Section website.
*For students who apply for admission suspension on the first semester of admission, only the credit transfer/waiver application before admission is allowed. And the credit transfer/waiver application is also not accepted after the resumption.
Q2:How to apply for the credit transfer/waiver?
A2:Please apply on the Academic and Student Affairs Information System and must click the button “SEND” before the deadline. At the same time, students must submit the original hardcopy of academic transcript for all semesters form previous degree to the Registration Section before the deadline.
Should the above 2 steps not be completed within the given timeframe, the application will be deemed unsuccessful and will not be accepted.

Q3:What is the limitation for courses that apply for credit transfer/waiver?
A3:Courses met the following situations cannot apply for it.
1. Courses with different contents.
2. Courses already calculated as the previous degree graduation credits.
3. Courses are taken after admission.
4. Courses with insufficient credits.
5. Courses with insufficient information.
6. Courses with insufficient degree levels.
7. For graduate students, the maximum number of credits transferred shall not exceed one-half of the total credits required for graduation (not including the credits of thesis/dissertation courses).

Q4:I already finished the ”Research Ethic(研究倫理)” course at TMU before, can I apply for a credit transfer?
A4:For the ”Research Ethic(研究倫理)” course studied at TMU and recorded on the academic transcript, the student could apply for credit transfer on the first admission academic year. (application date please refer to the Q1)
Q5:I’m a Ph.D. program student. How to process the required courses of the Ph.D. program already taken in my master’s program?
A5:Please note that students shall not duplicate study of the same course.(not include seminar) Therefore, please apply for a credit waiver. The Ph.D. program will indicate new courses to replace the required courses.
Q6:Courses already deemed as graduation credits of my master's program/ Ph.D. program can be transferred to my new master's program/ Ph.D. program course credit?
A6:No. However, if students have the same required courses in the new program, please apply for the credit waiver. The new program will indicate the other course for students to make up the credits. (not include seminar) For students who previously studied at TMU, courses that agreed to be your graduation credits in your graduation credit progress system by the administrative professor, cannot be applied for the credit transfer.
