- Master students studied for 1 year; Ph.D. program students studied for 2 years; master students who study Ph.D. degree continuously should study for 1 year in the master's program and 2 years in the doctoral degree/program.
- Students must complete the graduation credits (including Research Ethics) and graduation requirements of the department/program, to become eligible for the application of degree examination (graduation defense). The graduation requirements include Ph.D. qualifying exam, published SCI paper, Lecture/symposium attendance, etc. (Reference refers to the “TMU Implementation Guidelines of Master and Ph.D. Degree Examination”)
- Select the "Thesis" /"Dissertation" Course this semester.
- For those who can’t follow the TMU graduation defense timetable and regulations, do not apply for the graduation defense this semester
- Apply on the Academic and Student Affairs Information System. The application date is opening for 1 time in the semester.
- Candidates shall hold the graduation defense in TMU campus and in person. The video conference examination is not accepted.
- Students apply for the degree examination (Graduation Defense) must follow the timeframe announced on TMU Calendar. Fall Semester 2024: from 9 a.m. Sep. 16th to 5 p.m. Oct. 11th.
