Q1. Why can’t I log in to the system for course selection?

A1. There might be 2 reasons. (a)New and current students are asked to select their courses in different time slots. (b)Wrong students’ account or password. Foreign students’ account are preset as their  student ID number with lower-case letters.

For the  password, just key in “tmu” and date of birth: tmuYYYYMMDD.

 

Q2. How to use the system for course selection?

A2. Path: School(Home page) →New/Current students →Course selection system →Select “Course Selection System” →Use the options tool to search courses → Add/drop courses

 

Q3. How to correct my course selection?

A3. Path: School(Home page) →New/Current students →Course selection system →Select “Selection verify” →Select “I want to correct my course selection. Click here!” → Print “course selection confirmation” and download “Course Selection Correction Application Form” →Complete the form and turn it in with selection confirmation to the Curriculum Section. *Approved: course instructor (except course drop)→ administrative advisor→ director of the department or institute

 

Q4. What courses should I take?

A4. You can check the “List of Courses” or you can consult with your administrative advisor.

 

Q5. What’s the maximum/minimum credit requirement per semester?

A5. (a) For graduate students, 3 to 15 credits in principle. (b) For undergraduate students, 16 to 25 credits. Yet, for the last school year 9 to 25 credits are accepted.

 

Q6. Can I take courses offered by other departments?

A6. Yes, just use the special application for add/drop function via the system.

Here is a reminder!

Before you take courses from other departments, we suggest that you check with your own department to see if the credits can be waived to ensure your own right.

 

Q7. What is “College Core Courses”? Can I take the courses?

A7. College Core Courses are offered by colleges. Students from the college can take the College Core Courses which can be calculated in the credits needed for graduation.
