Graduate Minor Study

Eligibility

Graduate students may apply for a minor study based on the regulations of each individual department / institue / program.

Master's students: Eligible from the 2nd to the 4th semester

Ph.D. students: Eligible from the 2nd to the 6th semester

Note: Master’s program students are not allowed to apply for a minor in an In-Service Master’s Program, and vice versa.

Regulations Regarding Graduate Minor study

Please refer to the “Regulations for Students Pursuing a Minor at Taipei Medical University” for relevant policies.

Eligibility criteria, available quotas, and course requirements are subject to the specific guidelines set by each department / institute / program.

Application Procedure

Step 1: Complete the application form and attach your official academic transcripts (from all previous semesters), as required by the intended minor program.

Step 2: Obtain approval and signatures from the administrative professor and program chair of your major program, then submit the documents in person to the office of the intended minor program.

Step 3: The intended minor program will review your application.

Step 4: Approved applications will be submitted to the Registration Section and finalized by the Dean of Academic Affairs.

Graduation Requirements

To be eligible for the degree examination (graduation defense), students pursuing a minor must:

Complete the Research Ethics course

Fulfill all required course credits of their major department / institute / program

Meet the graduation threshold set by their major department / institue / program

Complete all required course credits of the minor department / institute / program

Only after fulfilling all the above can students proceed with their degree examination (graduation defense).

 

Withdrawal from Minor Program

If you are unable to continue your minor program for any reason, you must submit the “Withdrawal Form for Minor Study” within the designated period.

The official withdrawal period is announced in the University Academic Calendar.
